Testimony of Evangelist Noel
I used to live at Muslim Gata G Okhai Memon Federal B Area, Karachi, Pakistan.
I received the Gospel from O.M (Operation Mobilization)Team in January 1989. I opened and read it. I saw the verse from the Gospel of John chapter no 14 verse 6. : “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except though me”.
Being a muslim, I began to think: I offered my prayer, fast and Zaqat regularly. When I reached this verse of Sura Fateha after offering the prayer of Zohar “the way on which you had pity and blessing”, here I began to think. Which way is that? Then I began to think according to the Gospel of John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life”. Then I left the prayer.
I found a visiting card in the Gospel on which I found the name of Rev. G.M. Noman who belonged to a Church of Pakistan, Queen’s Road Sukkar in the province of Sind (Pakistan). I went to him. As I talked to him, he told me that he was also a convert. After this he gave me the Holy Bible, which consisted of the New and Old Testaments. I studied from Genesis to Revelation and also studied the Holy Quran.
I put before me the life of Mohammed and Jesus Christ. First I studied the life of Mohammed in the Holy Quran Para No 10 Sura Tauba verse No. 71-80 “O prophet whether you asked for their forgiveness or not, If you asked for even seventy times, Allah will never forgive them” How will the prophet Mohammed ask for their forgiveness?”
Now I looked towards the teachings of Jesus Christ. In Matthew chapter 9 verse 5, Gospel of Mark chapter 2 verse 5, Gospel of Luke chapter 7 verses 40-50 Jesus said to a paralyzed man, “Your sins are forgiven”. He said to a woman also, “Your sins are forgiven”.
Think over the lives of these two personalities. In the holy Quran para no 20 verse 26 in Sura Muhammad, “O prophet! You have to hold this that ‘no one is able to worship except Allah’. Pray for the repentance of your sins and forgiveness.”
Whereas Jesus said in the Gospel of John chapter 8 verse 46 “Who can prove a sin in me? If I speak the truth why don’t you believe.”? After this the value of Jesus was increased in my heart.
I thought about my family according to the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible. I studied both of them, As I studied the holy Quran para No. 27 Sura Rehman verses 55-76 there is mentioned the women who are not looking up: they will be considered as whores, whose Baka (virginity) is not broken by the men or Giants, as they are made of Yaqoot or Pearl. I was thinking if I shall go to paradise, my sister would also go there. If I will receive 72 beautiful virgins not touched by men, my sister should also have 72 beautiful men. But as I thought if I wouldn’t tolerate single man with my sister, how I can tolerate 72 men? When I will copulate 72 beautiful virgins,f in the same way my sister will pass through the same process. It is also told in the holy Quran when you will have fintercourse with them they will not have menses, they will not have children, but their taste will be like the virginity. As a sturdy young brother how will I tolerate 72 young men? If Muslim scholars say that men will receive 72 beautiful young virgins but the women will not receive anything then God becomes injustice, who is providing beautiful virgins for the Muslim men but nothing for the Muslim women. I became anxious.
But Jesus satisfied me through the Gospel of Matthew chapter 22 verse No. 30 “At the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven.” I became satisfied with the word of God. According to the Gospel 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 50 “This is declare brother flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God nor does corruption inherit incorruption”. Whereas sex is found there in flesh and blood. When we go to God, how can we receive virgins (Beautiful Young Women)? I was not convinced by the verses of the holy Quran. But the verses of the holy Bible did that.
Now the conversation of works is started: for good deeds you will receive reward and virtues. The person who will read the single verse of the holy Quran will receive 70 virtues. In the holy Quran, it is told mentioning that through the holy Quran we can receive thousands and lacs. But if I commit adultery, betray others or tell lies, what will the amount be of the reward for it? The holy Quran and Hadith told about virtues but does not mention about evil doings.
I began to think the prophet David mentioned in the Holy Bible in the book of Psalms 51 verse No.7.“True! I was born guilty a sinner even as my mother conceived me” I read in Romans 6:23 “the wages of sin is death” and Ezekiel 3 “who will commit sin has to die” after that I studied the Gospel of John chapter No. 3 verse 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son , so that every one who believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life”. So I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour, accepting that he took all my evils on Him on the cross.
He bought me with His precious blood and made me His disciple. In Romans chapter 8 verses 15 to 17.“Fear, you didn’t receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear but you received a spirit of adoption through which we cry “Abba” Father, the Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God and if Children, then heirs, Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ if only we suffer with him, So that we my also be glorified with Him”.
After this as I embraced Jesus Christ. I told my family that there is no Salvation without Jesus Christ, not in Islam. My family members beat me, persecuted me. I was thrown out of my house and they said, ” He has become unbeliever. He should be killed for his blasphemous thoughts.” At eight in the night I was thrown out. I spent the whole night on foot-path without eating or drinking anything. I had a hundred Pakistani Rupees with me. If I spend it, how would I reach to Rev. G.M.Noma?
As I reached to him, he welcomed me in his home. After some time I saw Bishop Zaheer-ud-din Mirza of Church of Pakistan Gojra Toba Tek Singh. As I received the threats of murder from the muslims, Bishop sent me to his friend Rev. Shafeeq Masih. In-charge U.P Church Dharang Gojranwala from whom I was baptized on June 15, 1990. Nowadays I feel pleasure in the name of Jesus Christ because it is the saying of Jesus Christ in Hebrews chapter 13 verse 5 “let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never forsake you or abandon you.’”
