The Powerful Name of Jesus
Beloved friends, Christianity is the only faith which offers Redemption and that is the crux of the whole matter.Christianity is the only belief system which asserts that God Himself came to earth in human form to pay the price for our redemption, through the shedding of blood.
This is not religion as such, it's Jesus, just Jesus!
Unfortunately, some Christians over the centuries have perpetrated atrocious deeds in the name of God, misquoting the Bible to justify their actions. But Jesus came to pay the price for our mistakes and restore us back to God. It is not about religion - but Relationship.
As humans we live in a body and have a soul but we are still spirit beings and unless our spirits are 'Born again' we will not be able to enter into the kingdom of God.
Only God has the power to re-create our spirits, enabling us to become new creations. When we follow Jesus, then and only then, do we have a right relationship with God.
And that's what's happening to countless people around the world today, when they give their lives to Jesus and say, "Change me Lord!" He transforms their lives and gives them His name to use in each and every circumstance they face.
And there is testimony after testimony in the Bible of the power of the name of Jesus. We are not talking about the name of Christianity, but the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. That name which is above every other name, whether it be 'cancer', or 'adverse circumstances', 'emotional instability', 'sickness' or whatever it may be.
His name is above all and you can call on His name for salvation, healing or deliverance. Jesus said, "All authority has been given to me," therefore if you call on His name in faith - as you trust Him - He will move mountains to come to your aid.
If you don't know Jesus, we challenge you to call upon His name.
Christianity or religion may have methodology and traditions, but without the Life of Christ and that intimate heart-to-heart relationship between you and Him - just the two of you - you have nothing. But when you have Him - you have everything!
Once he has transformed your life, you will find His love flowing through you to others, and that is why the missionaries of Jesus have such a love for the nations to share the Gospel. The God of Heaven and Earth wants to show you His infinite Grace.
There are so many people striving to please God in the faith they hold, dear souls living their lives hoping to gain salvation through good works.
And yet Salvation is God's free gift for all who will receive the Lord Jesus as their saviour. We pray daily for those of other faiths. Dear ones who hunger and thirst after righteousness. We pray the Lord would show them His truth, that He would give them super-natural revelation of Jesus Christ, that they would come to know His magnificent presence.
We pray they would no longer work towards pleasing God, but would receive His grace. Such grace that He sent His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal Life.
Truly, Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE and no one can get to the father except through Him.
Undoubtedly, there is no other name in which anyone can be saved, but the name of Jesus.
God requires justice, somebody had to pay the price for our sin and Jesus did that. He was the only one who could.
So we pray for all those seeking truth, for a Mighty release of God's anointing and His conviction so that they would come to their knees and acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
Wherever you are, if you are believing God for something, just stretch your hands to Heaven and ask Him to intervene. But remember God is not moved by need, but by your Faith in Him. Keep speaking His name...the name of Jesus...and you will see the salvation of God!
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
The Incomparable Christ
Almost two thousand years ago there was a Man born contrary to the laws of life. This man lived in poverty and was reared in obscurity. He did not travel extensively. Only once did He cross the boundary of the country in which He lived; that was during His childhood exile.
He possessed neither wealth nor influence. His relatives were inconspicuous and He had neither training nor formal education. In infancy, He startled a king; in childhood, He puzzled doctors; in manhood, He ruled the course of nature, walked upon the billows as if pavement, and hushed the sea to sleep.
He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for His service.
He never wrote a book, and yet all the libraries of the country could not hold the books that have been written about Him.
He never wrote a song and yet He has furnished the theme for more than all the songwriters combined. He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students. He never practiced medicine, and yet He has healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near.
Every Sunday, the wheels of commerce cease their turning and multitudes wend their way to worshiping assemblies to pay homage and respect to Him.
The names of the past proud statesman of Greece and Rome have come and gone. The names of past scientists, philosophers, and theologians have come and gone; but the name of this Man abounds more and more.
Though time has spread two thousand years between the people of this generation and the scene of His crucifixion, yet He still lives.
Herod could not destroy Him, and the grave could not hold Him.
He stands in Heavenly Glory, proclaimed of God, as the living, personal Christ, our Lord and Saviour !!!
One Solitary Life that Changed the World!
HERE is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another obscure village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty, and then for three years He was an itinerant preacher.
He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family.
He never went to college. He never put his foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He never did one of the things that contemporary society would consider a sign of greatness.
He had no credentials but Himself. He had nothing of this world, only the power of His divine manhood. While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against Him.
His friends ran away. One of them denied Him; another betrayed Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial.
He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While He was dying, His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth—His coat. When He was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.
Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the centerpiece of the human race, the greatest source of guidance and divine inspiration.
I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that ever were built, and all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as that one solitary life - the Life of Jesus!
